Some of his most prominent discoveries are detailed on the 2022 1 oz Silver coin include his work with prisms, gravity with the falling apple and cosmic orbs, and the 1718 Gold Quarter Guinea he created.The design elements featured on this beautifully detailed coin that depict the floating apple and cosmic orbs held in motion are examples of Newtons work with Gravitational Theory and his three Laws of Motion. Legend has it that Newton formulated his Gravitational Theory in 1665 or 1666 after watching an apple fall and asking why the apple fell straight down, rather than sideways or even upward.
